Week 1, Day 4 | January 11th

Week 1 day 4 | January 11th Storm
In the few days I've been here there's been a constant harsh wind and rain pouring from the sky - almost nearly reminds me of London. Or the storm that happened that sank the Charon. Almost expect to have to 'abandon turtle' and hope there's dry land somewhere nearby. Not really wanting a repeat experience of the weeks that followed when the Charon sank. I would happily live above the water even if it means having to fish and boil water for drinking. So far it doesn't seem like we're going to sink so cheers to that.

In other news the weather has brought a lot of patients to the clinic, more than one would see on a normal days surely. A bunch of accidents or illnesses from being out in the terrible weather. One thing remains the same and that is Conan. He was out and got knocked into a tree. Luckily I was nearby and got him home before more damage was done. Of course I treated his head wound and discovered that he had a concussion. He'll probably get sick too on top of it seeing as how this kid seems to pile it on all at one sometimes. It's obvious he doesn't trust me. Would be lying if I said it didn't sting a little bit but there's not much I can do about it at the moment.

Unfortunately our flat was damaged in the storm and there's now a giant hole where a window used to be. Landlord came to put up a tarp but Conan's room is unusable seeing as how it's still cold out. He'll probably be staying in our room for the time being. Guess we'll have to look for another flat, a bigger one with more bedrooms so people aren't sleeping out on the couch constantly. People other than Sherlock, that is.

Going to have to hide this thing from Conan so he won't see all these "blogs". Currently writing this one at work so that he doesn't suspect it's anything but a regular pocketwatch. Did get Sherlock a bit of busy work for when he gets too bored - translating some medical documents into various languages from our world. It's for the clinic, for those who come in after us. Maybe we should look into getting a violin too. There's not one in the flat that I've seen so he probably doesn't have one yet. I'd bring one home after work but he'd probably criticise my choice anyway so he should just be the one to pick it out to start with. Something to talk about later.
